The results of the International Student Barometer (ISB) 2022 (Wave 2) are now available, with some very positive results for Glasgow Caledonian University.
Overall satisfaction among the University's international students is 90%, with both our Glasgow and London campuses achieving this rate.
International student satisfaction with the overall learning experience is 91%. Satisfaction with the other key themes covered in the survey is: arrival experience (92%), support services (87%) and living experience (82%).
Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Steve Decent said: “Glasgow Caledonian University continues to be highly attractive to international students seeking to study at our Glasgow and London campuses. These excellent outcomes are a testament to the hard work of colleagues across the University, who go above and beyond to support our international students throughout their journey from application to graduation.”
The ISB is a global international student survey run by the external research agency i-Graduate. A total of 146 institutions, including 34 UK universities and five Scottish institutions, took part in the survey in 2022.
All international and EU students at our Glasgow and London campuses were invited to take part in the survey over a five-week period in November and December. The final response rate was 30% (1398 students).
The ISB asked our students to give feedback on their experience at Glasgow Caledonian so far. The results are an invaluable source of information to help us find out what is working well and what could be enhanced. It allows us to benchmark ourselves against our competitors and helps support the international marketing of the University.
The sector-wide results will be available in March.
