Two subject areas at Glasgow Caledonian University have been listed in the top 10 in the UK in the prestigious Complete University Guide 2023.
Physiotherapy has been placed fifth, while Optometry has been ranked seventh.
A number of other GCU subjects have also been ranked in the top quartile in the UK, with four subjects seeing an increase in ranking: Social work (+3); Psychology (+10); Computer science (+14); and Biological sciences (+15).
Overall, the University is ranked 88th out of 130 universities in the UK.
The Complete University Guide comprises a set of university and subject league tables aimed at guiding prospective students in their higher education decision making.
The main league table is based on 10 measures. We have improved our overall ranking in five metrics and perform strongly in the key areas of degree completion, graduate prospects, research quality and entry standards in particular.
This success follows the recent announcement that GCU is ranked joint 70th in the world overall out of 1,406 universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings.
